Surfer 2048

Join the surfaces and get to the 2048 surface!

New Game

How to play: Use your arrow keys to move the tiles. When two tiles with the same image touch, they merge into one and become the next level of image. The objective of the game is to get to the eleventh level!

The images are "famous" algebraic surfaces. Level 1 is the Sphere given by the equation x2+y2+z2=1, the next levels are the Cylinder, the Double Cone, the A3 Singularity Surface, the Cayley Cubic, the Kummer Quartic, the Toglitti Quintic, the Barth Sextic, the Labs Septic, the Endraß Octic and a last one to be discovered. Check your level by identifying the surface (read more here).
To find out more about the mathematical background, have a look at the "world record surfaces" gallery inside the SURFER program.

The tiles are created with SURFER by Bianca Violet based on equations by Oliver Labs, the modding is done by Christoph Knoth, support by Andreas Matt and Christian Stussak.

This mod is part of IMAGINARY – open mathematics, an open platform for interactive mathematics. IMAGINARY is a project by the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach and supported by the Klaus Tschira Stiftung.

This is a mod of Gabriele Cirulli’s 2048. Based on 1024 by Veewo Studio and conceptually similar to Threes by Asher Vollmer.
